Hospice Quinte’s Heart & Home Building Campaign has received a boost to the tune of $25K from the local business and financial professionals at Wilkinson & Company LLP.  In 1964, the company’s founder Wilfrid Wilkinson, began promoting the important values of caring for community, charitable giving and `goodwill to all’ among his staff. This benevolent mindset is something the company’s partners and staff continue to foster today.

“It gives our team great joy to donate to the Heart & Home Building Campaign,” says Business Partner Kris Himberg-Larsen. “The essential services that will be provided by the future Hospice Quinte Care Centre are desperately needed in our community.”

“With construction of the facility now fully-underway we saw an opportunity to give a gift that’s needed in order to bring this vital community project to fruition,” adds Himberg-Larsen.

Wilkinson & Company LLP will be recognized at the new centre in the Executive Director’s office where a commemorative plaque will be placed to acknowledge the company’s caring contribution.

“We are honoured to receive this thoughtful gift by Wilkinson’s,” says Hospice Quinte Executive Director, Jennifer May-Anderson. “The company’s generous donation will go a long way toward helping us to reach the $9.5M capital campaign goal and we are so very grateful for their benevolence.”

The new, 6-bed Hospice Quinte Care Centre located in Bayside will be a safe, comfortable, quiet and welcoming place that feels as close to home as possible. Professional palliative care will be provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and at no cost to the family.
