Under the direction of the Executive Director/Hospice Services Manager, the Community Hospice Supervisor provides leadership and expertise in implementing Hospice Quinte’s Community Hospice programs.  This role recruits, trains, and oversees volunteers and provides services for community hospice clients, caregivers, and the bereaved. The role of the Supervisor is to supervise the Community Hospice Coordinator and to oversee the day to day functioning of the programs and to collaboratively work with other Hospice Quinte staff and referral sources.  This position is also responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of all bereavement, caregiver, and volunteer support programming offered by Hospice Quinte. The Community Hospice Supervisor, along with other Hospice Quinte staff, develops, implements, and delivers community workshops, seminars, and education days on topics such as Hospice Quinte, hospice and palliative care, bereavement, grief, caregiver, advance care planning, and end of life issues.
