Hospice Quinte is hiring an Outreach and Events Coordinator for a one-year contract with the possibility of renewal. Start date will be in April 2022. The salary is $40,000 – $49,000 depending on skills and experience. In lieu of benefits and pension, salary will be boosted by 10%. Vacation entitlement is 3 weeks. COVID-19 vaccination status will need to be disclosed. Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle is required. The position is based at the Stan Klemencic Care Centre at 1244 Old Highway 2 in Belleville. 35-hour work week with flexibility to work some evenings and weekends, for which time off in lieu will be given with the approval of the manager.

The Outreach and Events Coordinator reports to the Donor Relations and Communications Manager and is responsible for planning, promoting, and executing events and outreach activities for Hospice Quinte. This includes fund-raising, public education, volunteer, and outreach events. The Outreach and Events Coordinator supports the Donor Relations and Communications Manager in fund development and donor relations activities as assigned, including completing grant applications. This position is also responsible, at the direction of senior management, for coordinating internal and external communications for Hospice Quinte, raising the profile of its work, and ensuring its messages are consistent and that the positive image of Hospice Quinte is maintained.
