Unprecedented times call for unprecedented measures. That’s the mantra of the dedicated team at McDougall Insurance & Financial who went above and beyond by hosting their annual charity golf tournament virtually this year in order to raise $20K for Hospice Quinte’s Heart & Home Building Campaign in support of the future Hospice Quinte Care Centre.

“This year would have marked our 11th annual charity golf tournament,” says McDougall Insurance & Financial CEO, Ross McDougall. “We weren’t able to host it in its traditional form due to the pandemic, but we knew it was still important to raise these needed funds for this essential community project, and we are thrilled to be able to support such a great cause with the proceeds from our virtual golf tournament this year.”

“Each year a combination of insurance companies belonging to the McDougall Insurance & Financial group raise several thousands of dollars for our local community,” says Hospice Quinte Executive Director, Jennifer May-Anderson. “We feel so very fortunate to have been chosen as this year’s beneficiary of McDougall Insurance’s first ever virtual charity golf tournament and want to express our sincere gratitude to Ross and his team for helping us to ‘Make it Happen’.”

The new, 6-bed Hospice Quinte Care Centre located in Bayside will be a safe, comfortable, quiet and welcoming place that feels as close to home as possible. Professional palliative care will be provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and at no cost to the family.
