Hospice Quinte is pleased to announce that its latest gift to the  Heart & Home Building Campaign has literally paved the way for hospice palliative care in Quinte, thanks to the team at Fitzgibbon Construction Ltd. who generously donated their time, talents and treasure to provide the future Hospice Quinte Care Centre with a beautifully paved driveway and parking lot.

“Hospice Quinte is delighted with this latest gift in-kind which was so thoughtfully donated by the good people of Fitzgibbon Construction Ltd.,” says Hospice Quinte Executive Director, Jennifer May-Anderson. “We are very grateful to their hard-working management and staff who have created a safe and durable paved surface, consisting of approximately 340 metric tons of asphalt, that will provide our visitors with ample parking and year-round access to the new facility.”

“We are proud to have contributed to bridging the gap in hospice palliative care here in Quinte,” says company President, Greg DeMille. “Each member of our dedicated staff agreed that this meaningful project was our chance to give back to the community we love and we are pleased to have shared our support.”

The cost of Fitzgibbon Construction’s gift-in-kind was over $34-thousand dollars.

Hospice Quinte provides individuals, their families, and caregivers with compassionate end of life care, by attending to their physical, psychosocial, and practical needs, and offering empathetic care to those who are grieving through visiting hospice services and support groups.  All Hospice Quinte programs and services are provided by compassionate, well-trained volunteers and staff at no charge to the individual or their family.

Hospice Quinte serves a population of over 102,000 in Quinte West, Belleville, Deseronto, Tyendinaga Township and the Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory.
