Members of the Quinte and District Association of REALTORS® (QDAR) proudly presented Hospice Quinte with a donation of $6,294.00 that will be directed to the organization’s Heart & Home Building Campaign. Hospice Quinte’s building campaign was officially kicked off earlier this year and will fund the construction of a six-bed community-based hospice palliative care centre in Bayside.

“We’re tremendously grateful for the generosity and support that we’ve received from the members of the Quinte and District Association of REALTORS®,” said Jennifer May-Anderson of Hospice Quinte. “Their donation not only means that we’re one step closer to achieving our goal, but that we can also support QDAR in their organizational mission to build a better future for our communities.”

The Hospice Quinte Care Centre will be a safe, comfortable, quiet and welcoming place that feels as close to home as possible. Professional care will be provided to palliative care patients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and at no cost to the individual or their family. “As our communities join together, we will ensure the new Hospice Quinte Care Centre becomes a reality for those needing safe refuge from the difficult journey of life-limiting illness, death, and grief.”
