Job Details

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director (ED), is responsible for the consistent achievement of Hospice Quinte’s mission, vision, goals, and financial objectives. The ED will develop, lead, and implement operational and fundraising strategies, initiatives, and partnerships.


Hospice Quinte is a charity that supports the terminally ill, families, caregivers and the bereaved by providing a range of community and in house services that attend to the physical, psychosocial, and practical needs of clients at end of life, and offering empathetic care to those who are grieving.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
❖An accessible leader, dynamic, mission-focused, results-oriented, and process-minded, who enjoys working with others, is adept at identifying and promoting opportunities to enhance compassionate supports to clients, caregivers, and families.
❖A balanced executive who excels at collaborating, and coaching staff and volunteers, leads by example, mentors, and guides a small professional team to consistently achieve results.
❖Demonstrated experience collaborating and providing counsel to a Governance Board.
❖An innovative, strategic thinker who is solution focused, uses active listening and feedback from volunteers, staff, donors, community partners, and key stakeholders to develop and implement strategy.
❖A succinct and accurate communicator with excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
❖A leader who is adept at cultivating and managing relationships toward a common compassionate goal.
❖Skilled at fostering strong relationships with volunteers, partner organizations, as well as existing and new potential stakeholders and donors.
❖Possesses a minimum of ten years’ NFP operational experience working with diverse populations, with proven success in relationship building, fundraising & business development.
❖Holds a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution, preferably in Business Administration, Fundraising, Marketing, or Communications.
❖A high level of integrity, accountability, sound analytical thinking, an entrepreneurial mind-set, and excellent planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
