About HPCO Accreditation

What is accredited hospice care?

Every day, Hospice Quinte provides compassionate support to people who are dying, their caregivers, and those who are grieving. From in-home hospice support, to residential hospice care and bereavement programs. All services are free at the point of care, so no family faces financial barriers when they need support most.

“To not only achieve accreditation in our first review, but to receive such an exceptional score, is truly extraordinary and speaks volumes about the quality of care, teamwork, and commitment demonstrated by everyone at Hospice Quinte,” said Petra Lepage, Executive Director of Hospice Quinte.

Hospice Quinte joins the growing list of hospices accredited by HPCO and is now included in the organization’s online directory of accredited hospices, making it easier for individuals and healthcare professionals to identify trusted hospice services in their community.

As a community-funded organization, Hospice Quinte relies on the generosity of donors, volunteers, and community partners to ensure its hospice palliative care, caregiver support, and grief services remain available free of charge throughout the Quinte region.

Hospice is about living. This accreditation reinforces Hospice Quinte’s commitment to providing compassionate, dignified care that supports people in living as fully and comfortably as possible for the time they have, while walking alongside the people who love them.
