Intro to Grief and Bereavement Webinar

102 102 people viewed this event.

Every person will experience grief and loss – a profound sense of final separation from someone or something important. Grief is a normal and appropriate reaction to the death of a loved one, the experience of separation/divorce, or the loss of opportunity. After the death of someone you love, you experience bereavement, which literally means “to be deprived by death.” . While there are similarities in how individuals work through loss, grief is a complicated and unique experience for each person. This webinar will provide an overview of what grief is, some common myths of grief, how to help a grieving person and the various levels of grief and appropriate supports. A brief overview of Hospice Quinte’s Bereavement Wellness program will also be provided.
