Our Commitment to Privacy

At Hospice Quinte, safeguarding the privacy and confidentiality of personal and personal health information (PHI) is central to the trust our community places in us. We are committed to collecting, using, and disclosing information responsibly, in accordance with Ontario’s Personal Health Information Protection Act, 2004 (PHIPA), and the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). This policy outlines our principles and practices regarding privacy and guides how we manage PHI across our programs, staff, and operations.

Donor Information Protection

We respect donor privacy and limit the use of donor information to issuing tax receipts, providing updates and invitations, and expressing gratitude and maintaining relationships. Donor information is never shared without explicit consent, and donors may opt out of communications at any time.
